....so what?

Former "glamour model" Helene Rask has received a threatening phone call.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody's there to observe it - did it really fall? And if a "glamour model" tries to parlay some delusional psycho's phone call into getting back in teh news and resuscitating a "career" which probably dwindled about the same time she stopped flashing her boobs - does anyone care?

Well, not that a care mush about glamour models, but the whole thing started when she (unknowingly) was featured on a fascist/ nationalist web site. As an example of a good, Norwegian girl (says something about those nationalists, doesn't it?).

But the funniest thing in the whole article, is when Dagbladet interviews the webmaster/ leader of the nationalist web page, and tells him that Helene Rask does not like to be connected with his group, he says "Det er underlig. Jeg ville tro at enhver kjendis ble glad og beæret av å være på vårt nettsted (That's strange. I would think that any celebrity would be happy and honoured to be featured on our web site)".

I keep wondering, if you added the IQs of this Nationalist and the glamour model, would that be something close to a 100?

Oh, and btw Wilhelm, it's good that you keep us updated on what's new in the glamour model world. I keep missing those stories...

Not entirely convinced, no. The funny thing is, there was an expose a ways back about the "glamour model" bidness, wher they showed that the "glamour models" made peanuts, but some middle-aged greasy men who "handled the fiancial trivialities" skidaddled off with practically all the loot. Kind of like legalized pimps, but with a different fashion sense.

...besideswhich; it don't matter if she unknowingly appeared on the web page in question. What matters is that her gettin' a threatening phone call ain't worth a front page.

I'm with you on that one, chief. But that article just got so much more going for it as well.

Agreed. But with still puzzles me, is this: What's the difference between a nude model and a glamour model? I'm still amazed by the fact that somebody has managed to come up with a name that makes women taking their clothes of sounding like a respectable occupation...

What's the difference between a "used" car and a "pre-owned" one? Not comparing the two, but it's pretty much the same thing, although if you're a "glamour model", then apparently you can get a record deal with Christer Falck.

I'm still amazed by the fact that somebody has managed to come up with a name that makes women taking their clothes of sounding like a respectable occupation...

I know - it's downright amazing. Even more amazing; feminist activists not cracking down hard on this occupation and gettin' it in the news.
