Just to to counter balance the spandex wearin', bleached haired, girl-friend-metal dudes that makes "metro sexual" seem like the epitome of manhood that have infected this blog lately (no offense). :-D
First out, I bring you a modern and slightly slick version of the Robert Johnson classic Sweet Home Chicago, by Keb' Mo' and Corey Harris. Check out the beautiful National Reso-Phonic "Vintage Steel" tricone Corey Harris is playing.

..smart move with the "True Music" label. Much props.
...and if it's gonna be as Keb Mo' tune, I'd rather it be "City Boy" than the most cliché blues tune ever in the history, in perpetuity, throughout the universe.
No offense :-)
Are there "sweet home" songs for every part of America?

Didn't think you gonna notice that fast. Kudos on the sharp eye and reading skillz.

Yeah, I thought I'd start off with a tune everybody and his brother knows, in a "non-blues-brothers-rip-off" version. But maybe I overdid it. On the other hand, with very few exceptions, all Robert Johnson tunes have pretty much been played to death...

No. As far as geography goes, it's pretty much limited to Chigaco and the area around the Great lakes, Mississippi, Louisiana and "the delta" in the blues genre.
Example:
Sweet Home Kokomo is a blues tune.
Sweet Home Alabama is from a completely different genre.
Any questions?

At least I've got that going for me, huh?
Any questions?
..when is "Red House" with that dude who's totally ripping SRV off gonna make an appearance?
Donno. Does Red House feature slide guitar? :-D
.....maybe "Blue House", but not what I had in mind :-(
