I'm still impressed with how professional your recording sounds (even with the canned drummer), at least on my crappy PC speakers.
I really do think you're best when you play your own material*, and the firs tune is a perfect example of that. I enjoyed it.
*If only you could convert to acoustic slide... *sigh*

Well, just to elaborate on my previous point.
Independent on my musical taste or the composition, I often feel that your playing is better on your own tunes then cover songs (not dissing your cover songs at all). It's not "technically" better, but then it's not easy to pinpoint exactly what it is either. It may be the indefinable "feeling". You might be just a bit more relaxed when playing your own songs, or that you are a bit more confident, or what ever. Or it could just be that my ear is more keen on hearing something new then something old (but then, considering our taste in music, your cover songs are "new" to me in at least 50% of the cases as well).
Independent on my musical taste or the composition, I often feel that your playing is better on your own tunes then cover songs.
That makes sense though - after all, my own compositions are tailored to my technical level, and is entirely based around my way of phrasing and choice of notes...
It may be the indefinable "feeling".

Sort of yes. In general I'm not into metal bands like Night Stalkers, Bacchus, Navel Lint, Mentäl Retards or Fever Pitch, so you could easily pass their songs of as your own compositions. When I think of it, you might already do that.
I thought the idea was just to play as many as possible. You know, since they are played so fast that nobody can hear them anyway.
...but it's important to end each run on a note suggesting an overall key of something harmonic minor.
