Holy Diver!

So, I'm off to a concert at Kopervikfestivalen this weekend. A triple treat(?) with Dio, Stage Dolls and... ... Morten Abel! Now who is the odd man out of the bunch (Hint: I made it easy, fiollow the dots)? Morten Abel was a last minute replacement for Europe. I mean, Europe, Dio and Stage Dolls would have been three acts that fit somewhat together. But Morten Abel? Oh well.

Dude; you've got to write a concert review for this stuff...at least for the first two acts; Morten Abel not so much.

And let me get this straight; Europe bails out and the natural second choice is Morten Abel?

Why not an act who does - well - metal, like Pagan's Mind or Breed?

...Incidentally, I'd be SO pissed if I'd bought tickets to a Europe concert and got Morten Freakin' Abel.........

That'd be like goin' to see Casablanca and gettin' Passenger 57.

...so..is everyone in you're going to the concert with happy with the replacement.....?

Yes! Or at least some act that had their shait going on at approx. the same time as the other bands.

The other people are not thrilled about Morten Abel as replacement either. THe last two or three albums has been really crap (speaks volume when you consider mr. Able's track record...)

Not such a big fan of Abel's brand of pop, and I had no particular soft spot for September When either, but I thought Cries Like A Baby was a killer pop tune. That's where my list starts and stops - one song...

Can't deny that it's relatively well-made though

Yeah, the record with Cries Like A Baby is decent, I think.
