Listing wrestling trivia at parties ranks right up there with impromptu derivations of Schrödinger's equation and why chemical bonds can have ionic AND covalent character
That's always ticked me off - some schmoe in a tux like David Copperfield or even worse - the heart-attack-in-waiting that is the talking half of Penn & Teller can roll into an audience and dazzle them with some pedestrian card trick or basically pulling a coin from their ear, but if you try to do that with science, people label you a geek and promptly proceed to take your lunch money.
Never have understood the fasination of David Copperfield. I do enjoy people with extreme finger skills that do trick with card or whatever, but just standing there and having loads of hidden cranes that lifts things, mirrors and stuff? Crap.

Pick a card...any card.....
Have you tried doing derivations of Schrödinger's equation in a tux with music and halv nekkied women around? No?
....they never mentioned this at the pedagogic course...strange
...or at least end up being even with their advanced theories consisting largely of three interconnected circles.

You know what...not for nothin', but that course was so bad that doing the opposite of what they advised couldn't hurt that much
