Here's a small tapping exercise/etude back to back with a fitting riff structure (think "Sleeping In The Fire" by W.A.S.P. on gear or "Between Heaven And Hell" by Firewind). I actually like this tapping thing a lot. What's really cool about more "involved" tapping motifs is that I don't come off as a poor man's Yngwie when I play them (seeing as how he doesn't tap all that much). With this style of tapping, I rather come off as a poor man's Kiko Loureiro.

it's a pretty good tune, there. I know you focused on the tapping in your description, but I also liked the rhythm track.
(A good rhythm beats a good solo any day)
Really remarkable that you didn't recognize Firewind or W.A.S.P. in that tune. Flat out astonishing.
..but not as remarkable as you liking the rhytm, seeing as how this is very "true metal".
You want teh tab for the tapping section? It's not that complicated, doesn't require big stretches and all happens on one string...
Sure, hit me with the tab, much appreciated. Though I know I won't have time to any serious playing this side of the summer.
Btw, by liked I mean that I thought it was well played and suitable to the tune. Not that it necessarily was within the border of my musical taste…
