Jumping on the bandwagon

First of all - congrats to Alexander Rybak on winning ESC2009.

That being said, I'm totally jumping on the Synnøve Svabø-bashing bandwagon - she absolutely SUCKED as a commentator. She never stopped cackling, she was a relentless self-promoter, she gave out wrong phone numbers, and she totally effed up the score estimation. Moreover, I could've lived a full and happy life without knowing that the skank had stuffed her bra with tennis socks for the occasion.

With all respect, what is mrs. Svabø known for? I'm not too familiar with her work, and correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know, she haven't done much "serious" work, at least not in the TV-world. She's famous for being a comedian/ stunt-report, her gig was basically been over-the-top energetic, cackling and slighty rude in a non-offensive way.

Isn't that precisely what she's been critized for? I think the people who hired her knew her background...

But more important: Who cares???

...that's about it, I guess. Oh, and she's also been hosting some weekend shows that never lasted beyond the first season.

When you're watching the ESC finals and this individual is whining like a bad overdub, you care.

Moreover, the "16-year-old hopped up on sugar" MTV VJ routine is not particularly charming when you turn 40

Personally, I think this is NrKs way of saying: "Hey, this is crap. Get off your fat arse and do something".
And despite all that, 2.3 Norwegians followed the show...
:-D

*grumble*

That should have been 2.3 million Norwegians...

I figured as much. Otherwise I wouldn't be as much jumping on the bandwagon as designing it, building it, selling it and making commercials for it
