Vh1 Rocks

..literally.....this show alone is well worth subscribing to the channel.

Where else can you see classic hard rock/metal videos like "Rock'N Roll Children", "The Last In Line" (both Dio, dontcha' know), Spanish Castle Magic (Yngwie Malmsteen's Live version from Leningrad), "Days Of No Trust" (Magnum) etc., in addition to all the cool 80's pop/rock music videos from Billy Idol, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Huey Lewis and the News, Dire Straits, Billy Joel, Michael Jackson, Wham, Peter Cetera, and whatnot.

Really a nostalgia kick, and lots of great music too.

VH1 sends music. MTV sends Jackass and Pimp My Ride in prime time. The channels musical content has decreased and it's been many years since they air good music. Wish I had VH1, for now I'm stucked with MTV...

Didn't they resuscitate Headbanger's Ball? Not that you'd appreciate it, but still?

Well, they may or may not have Headbanger's ball back. However, I'm guessing that if they have, it's aired late at night. It's kind of ironic that a channel that calls themselves Music TV does not have more music in prime time. I remember back in the days, you could always switch to MTV to get some music videos, whether it was just after returning home from school, during a vorspiel in the evening or late at night on an afterparty. It was almost always music on. But no, every time I turn on MTV, it's some incarnation of Jackass, MTV Cribs, Pimp My Ride or something (not that it's anything wrong with these shows, they just ain't music).

MTV Cribs has got to be one of the easiest shows to spoof. Ever. In the history of the universe.
