There's no such thing...

...as a free dinner

What you have to pay in exchange is not worth it

In other news, wrestling is fake, the Earth ain't flat, and Santa Claus is just a relative or a friend of the family in a red suit.

Yeahhhh.......how right you are, dude.

From your post:

So, who bought you a dinner and a movie? ;-)

The really sad thing is that you'll get to hear how lucky you are to eat at restaurants, travel and stay at hotels from other people with way different jobs.

That's pretty f'ed up, 'cause they don't realize that all of those things are work and very different from hanging out with your friends at a restaurant or going on vacation. When you travel, you see jack, except the airport (which all look the same, with the exception of O'Hare), the taxi, the hotel room and the conference venue/office. And that ain't nuthin' to be smilin' about.

Yeah, and the worst part is that the company actually steals lots of your free time. I don't consider it free time unless I can choose what to do. And you can't if you're stuck on a hotel in some foreign city.

Ain't that the freakin' truth. You can't even charge the company for the hours.

Well; seeing as how I'm on a fixed salary, that was a moot point, but it'd still be true if I worked in industry.
