Outline of a song

...at least a rough recording of the basic riff, verse and chorus structures, with a some simple fills added. I can always add bass with teh Whammy and program some decent drums in Cubase, but it would be better if someone could add proper bass and keyboard. You hear me, Joe?

...oh; and this song structure is somewhat reminiscent of some three other bands. Anyone hear any resemblance?

For some reason, I get a "car song" feeling from this. If it had any lyrics, it would definitly have the word "drive" or "riding" in it...

...cool Jimi James reference, Chief

Car song? Anything specific that triggered this feeling? OK; it hauls ass at 180 bpm, but car songs in metal are more typically associated with galloping than with alternate-picked umpteenth-notes.

Well, it could be a train song, but train songs are blues. And it ain't blues, so car song it is. Right?

Are you saying I know sh@t 'bout metal? If so, you are absolutely correct, sir.

Can't put my finger on it, but I had the same feeling from it as from one song from the Flying in a Blue Dream album bu Satriani (the title escapes me right now).

..are ya talkin' about "Can't Slow Down", "The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing" or "Back To Shalla-Bal", chief?

Can't Slow Down. Thanks, been a while since I've listened to that record. But listening on your tune again, I can't really see the similarity again. Must be those crappy PC-speakers at work.

But the Dragonforce and Firewind influence is really strong, though.
