Congrats on your chosen profession, Sherlock

Socialist Party (SV) politician Haitham El-Noush refuses to greet or shake hands with anyone from the Progress Party (Fremskrittspartiet). His epic reasoning: He doesn't respect Fremskrittspartiet's attitude towards minorities, and this is his way of demonstrating his contempt.

Congrats on your chosen profession, then. 'Cause politics ain't about diplomacy and compromises at all - just look at how much of your own party's program has dominated the coalition government's politics since y'all took office.

Odds are that El-Noush wouldn't have made much of a Secretary of State. If he doesn't want to greet a fellow Norwegian politician - from the second largest party no less - then he may not be the guy you want to depend on to uphold diplomatic relations.

And the Progress Party's respons is just as bad: They call mr El-Noush a racist. Since when was being a member of a party a race??? Talk about playing the "race card"... :-/

Let's face it; none of these two guys are Rhodes scholars, and the sad fact that they have risen to their positions within their respective political parties speaks volumes about the available candidates

Another sad thing is that Frp tend to climb on the rating when cases like this one occurs. Just remember Martin Kolberg's attemts to break the "Frp code".

I think that the other parties should treat Frp just like any other party, instead of paying extra attention to everything they do.

Third place on the labour party's list in Nordland? Not excatly a top political position, now is it? Let's face it, to complete the list of all the parties in Nordland, nearly every citien has to be on some list. Mr. El-Noush is particulary sought-after, seeing how he helps fill the multi-ethnicity quota as well.

Torbjørn: I agree

Anders: Compared to the reasoning skillz he exhibited in this instance, third place for the socialist party in Nordland is way above his competence level
