Well, since relic’ing has been up on this blog before, and since Wilhelm being a big fan of guitars and Dr. Phil (a “dialogue-driven talk show with an academic edge” as he calls it), I thought I should post Dr. Phil’s view on relic’ing of guitars:
(dang, what happened to that sycophantic Yes-man I once was?)
“dialogue-driven talk show with an academic edge” as he calls it
ReplyDelete..he calls it that?
'cause I call it a good mix of a 40-minute book infomercial and an endless parade of losers

ReplyDeleteIt sounded like him?
'cause I call it a good mix of a 40-minute book infomercial and an endless parade of losers
Then I don't understand why you're such a big fan of him.
...which adds up with my confusion as to how I somehow got mixed into being perceived as a Dr. Phil fan

ReplyDeleteI needed a reason to post the clip on this blog? It could have been worse; imagine if Paris Hilton had said something about guitars...
...I see your point...
ReplyDelete...and raise you a sarcastic comment
That being said, it's not like dude's not right about the Relic series.
ReplyDeleteIf I wanted to pay full price for a f*cked-up guitar, I'd go to that Other guitar shop in Trondheim

ReplyDeleteI agree. And even worse; sometimes, like with the National Replicon, a "relic'ed" reissue of the famous National Style O, retails for more then the real thing in similar condition. I just don't get it. I just don't see the point of damage a guitar, unless it's improve playability or sound.

ReplyDelete...so maybe messing these guitars up improves their overall quality?

ReplyDeleteLOL
Guess they won't get much of your buisness in the future...

ReplyDeleteYou mean that I should try out that theory on my guitars? And that you would be willing to help me out for just a small fee?
...except for on the Takamine, I'd help out pro bono
